Venue - Blogs - Change the appearance of your blog sections and posts
There are three places where you can control the appearance of your blog posts.
- On the home page section.
- On the blog landing page.
- In an individual blog post.
Homepage blog
Once you have added a Blog posts section to your homepage you can then decide how it is displayed and the amount of metadata shown. The items you can control are:
- Heading - the main heading of the section on your home page - leave blank for a minimal look
- Blog - which blog you wish to display - Shopify allows you to have multiple blogs
- Posts - how many posts to display
- Posts per row - how many to display horizontally
- Crop images - a useful feature if you have used different ratio blog images - it makes the grid of blog posts more uniform.
- Show date - display the date the post was published
- Show author - show the author's name
- Show comment count - display the amount of comments your posts have in a small speech bubble icon
- Show tags - display the metadata/category of each post
- Link label - You can add a text link like 'read more' below the blog posts, this is the text that will be displayed.
- Link - the destination on the above link, usually a blog landing page
- Show background color - you can show or hide a grey background color that cuts through the posts
Blog landing page
You can decide how much metadata is shown inside the section summaries of your blog landing page. To view the Blog page section editor you have to navigate to the blog area of your website while using the theme editor.

Pro tip: If you want to remove or show the comments section at the bottom of individual posts you have to enable or disable blog posts inside your Shopify Admin. For more information on handling blog posts please see this article.
Blog and article featured collection
You can display a set of products at the bottom of the blog and article pages. However, these products will not be dynamic and the same set will display on every blog and article page.
